The AXA Defender safety lock represents a new generation of ring locks. An innovative design manufactured from durable materials with an extra attachment facility for a cable loop to anchor to fixed objects and/or secure front wheel. Lock housing holding 8.5mm hardened steel shackle.
Child proof -cannot be locked accidentally by a child sat at the rear. Fixings included, will fit most bikes with seat stays with a diameter of between 10 and 25mm.
Permanent bicycle frame mounting - You never need to worry about remembering your lock again! This is perhaps one of the simplest locking methods there is, with no bulky items to lug round with you. The lock functions by creating a solid steel ring which effectively wraps around the entire diameter of the tyre/wheel thus preventing the wheel from rotating in the bike. This lock replaces the SL7 which is now discontinued. Unlike the previous SL7, the Defender comes complete with simple wrap around fixing clips which will fit to most standard bikes. If you have a bike fitted with V-brakes we would strongly recommend you purchase the additional v brake mounting kit which makes fitting simple. The lock will cope with most tyre widths including chunky mountain bike tyres.
Can be used with RLC 100 CHAIN to secure bike to fixed object, or RLD coiled cable either in 80cm or 180cm.
